Oh to be among rose fields! The scent, the beauty, the emotion. Roses are one of my favourite flowers- pretty with the power to prick. Magical!
Rose petals are full of Vitamin C which helps maintain and restore natural skin radiance, soothe irritated skin, promote collagen production, seal moisture into cells, and prevent dark circles.
It also makes a wonderful lip balm because it organically nourishes, softens, lightens and heals dry and chapped lips.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Infusion Time: 1 month
Additional Time: 10 minutes
Note: Always and only use edible rose petals. Beware of pesticides if picking from any garden.
Instructions:
1. Fill a mason jar 2/3 with crushed, dried rose petals. If you have fresh roses, you can dry them yourself at home. Check out my How To Dry Rose Petals recipe here!
2. Pour coconut oil over the rose petals leaving a little space from the lid.
3. Close the lid tight and gently swerve the jar.
4. Then, in a simmering water bath, heat the jar on the stove for 2-4 hours.
5. Let it cool and then strain the oil with a strainer or cheesecloth.
6. Alternatively, you can also allow the oil to infuse in the sun for about a month.
7. Once your oil is ready, heat some beeswax in a pan.
8. Slowly pour in your rose petal-infused oil and stir gently.
9. Turn off the heat and use a funnel to pour out the mixtures into the containers.
10. When the mixture is semi-solid, you can garnish it with dried rose petals. You can add a few drops of rose essential oil at this stage.
11. Allow it to cool down and set.
12. Use it morning and evening for best results.
